Refund Policy

How refunds work for Goodstand plans — Check, Monitor, and Managed — operated by XBUILDERAI LTD.

1. Overview

This Refund Policy explains when you can receive a full refund, a partial refund, or no refund for fees paid to Goodstand. It applies to subscription and one-time plan fees charged by XBUILDERAI LTD. Government filing fees, state registry fees, and IRS fees are handled separately — see section 6. For general billing terms, see our Terms of Service.

2. Check plan (one-time)

The Check plan is a one-time purchase (currently $12.99) for a full risk analysis, questionnaire, Action Plan PDF, and limited document upload. Because delivery is digital and immediate once generated, refunds depend on what has been delivered:

  • Full refund — if we fail to deliver your report within 7 days of purchase, or if a technical error on our side prevents delivery
  • Full refund — within 14 days of purchase if you have not completed the questionnaire and your Action Plan PDF has not been generated
  • No refund — once your Action Plan PDF has been delivered and downloaded or viewed in your account, except where we confirm a material error in the report attributable to us
  • Partial refund — at our discretion if part of the deliverable failed (e.g. PDF generated but a section could not be completed due to missing public registry data we should have surfaced)

3. Monitor plan (annual)

Monitor is an annual subscription (currently $190/year) for ongoing registry monitoring, alerts, and event-driven re-checks (30-day baseline). We do not offer full refunds after monitoring has been active for an extended period, but partial refunds may apply in limited cases:

  • Full refund — within 30 days of initial purchase if monitoring has not been activated for your entity (no registry scrape completed, no alert emails sent)
  • Partial refund — within 30 days if monitoring was activated but you cancel within the first month; we refund the unused portion of the annual term minus any third-party costs already incurred
  • No full refund — after 30 days from purchase, or once event-driven re-checks or email monitoring have run for your entity; you may cancel and service continues until the end of the paid period
  • No refund — for renewal charges after the first year unless required by applicable consumer law

4. Managed plan (annual)

Managed is an annual subscription (currently $990/year) that includes monitoring plus managed filing support and included standard filings. Because this plan involves human compliance work, refund eligibility is more limited:

  • Full refund — within 30 days of initial purchase if no filing has been submitted to a state agency or the IRS on your behalf and no compliance review call has taken place
  • Partial refund — if you cancel within 30 days after limited work has started (e.g. intake review, document collection) but before any filing is submitted; amount reflects work already performed
  • No refund — once a filing has been submitted to a government agency on your behalf, or after the first compliance review call, except for fees attributable solely to our service error
  • Pass-through fees — state, IRS, and registered-agent fees paid on your behalf are never refunded by us once submitted, even if the underlying subscription is partially refunded

5. Free plan

The free registry scan does not involve a charge. No refund applies.

6. Filing actions and pass-through fees

One-off filing purchases (BOI updates, annual reports, Form 5472, reinstatements, etc.) combine our service fee with government or provider pass-through costs. Once a filing is submitted to a state, the IRS, FinCEN, or a registered agent, those pass-through fees are non-refundable. Our service fee may be partially refunded if we have not yet begun preparation; contact support@goodstand.com before work starts.

7. How to request a refund

Email support@goodstand.com from the address on your account. Include your entity name, plan type, purchase date, and reason for the request. We respond within 5 business days. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

8. Chargebacks and disputes

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. We will work in good faith to resolve billing issues. Accounts with unresolved chargebacks may be suspended.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy. The "Last updated" date on this page will change when we do. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction unless law requires otherwise.
